Websites that get found, understood and bought from.
We build websites that don't just look good but measurably generate enquiries, bookings or sales, SEO- and GEO-ready from day one, with no separate optimization phase. From concept through UX to performance.
- Mobile-first & Core Web Vitals
- WordPress · HTML · built to spec
- SEO/GEO & Schema built in
- Conversion-focused
Web design at Loomup combines design with visibility: websites that get found, understood and booked, mobile-first, with Core Web Vitals, SEO and GEO built in from the start rather than bolted on afterwards.
Four numbers that show what poor performance costs
Seven seconds decide, and your website has to deliver in every one of them.
Users decide within the first few seconds whether to stay on a website or switch to a competitor. At the same time, Google and AI models are assessing the technical quality, structural clarity and substance of your content in parallel. What counted as a "good website" five years ago is below average today.
We build websites that work across all three dimensions: for people, for search engines and for AI systems.
From new build to conversion tuning
Five areas, individually or as a complete package. Flexible tech stack: WordPress, plain HTML or built to your specification.
Website Build
New builds of corporate websites, landing pages and complete brand presences, SEO-/GEO-ready, mobile-optimized, with structured data and clean URL architecture from day 1.
To Website Build →Web Design & UX
On-brand visual design plus thoughtful UX. Clear hierarchy, trust-building elements, mobile-first, without letting visibility suffer for the sake of the design.
To Web Design & UX →Relaunch & Migration
SEO-safe website relaunch with 1:1 redirect mapping, crawl comparison, performance monitoring and a rollback plan. Your rankings survive the move.
To the SEO-safe Relaunch →Performance & Core Web Vitals
LCP, INP, CLS and mobile load time, the underrated visibility levers. We optimize images, JS bundles, caching, hosting and fonts for measurably better scores.
To Performance →Conversion Optimization (CRO)
Heatmaps, funnel analysis, A/B tests, hypothesis-driven optimization. We lift the conversion rate from your existing traffic, without more paid-search budget.
To CRO →Technical SEO Foundation
Crawlability, indexing, structured data, hreflang, log-file analysis, a clean redirect plan. The technical base without which no web design ranks.
To Technical SEO →Ten quality criteria we check on every project
Mobile-first & responsive
Mandatory, not optional. Mobile is the primary layout; desktop follows.
Clear information architecture
No more than 3 clicks to any relevant page, descriptive URLs, logical silos.
Trust-building elements
Case studies, reviews, awards, visible authorship, clear ways to get in touch.
Core Web Vitals in the green
LCP under 2.5 s, INP under 200 ms, CLS under 0.1, measured on real devices.
Structured data
Organization, Service, Article, FAQPage, Person, BreadcrumbList, generated automatically.
Sensible CTAs
One clear primary action per page. Users always know what the next step is.
Accessibility (BFSG)
WCAG 2.1 compliant, mandatory for many providers from 2025. We build it in from the start.
Legally compliant build
Imprint, privacy policy, cookie banner, GDPR-compliant tracking, links to terms.
Clean analytics
GA4 or server-side tracking, conversion events, funnel logic, available from launch.
Maintainable CMS
Your team can manage content themselves, without a developer ticket for every change.
Which CMS fits which project?
We don't recommend a one-size-fits-all solution. Every stack has clear strengths, and honest weaknesses. Click through the options.
WordPress
The most popular choice for marketing websites with an active editorial operation. Huge ecosystem, affordable maintenance, fast iteration.
Strengths: editing without a developer, large plugin selection, easy to extend.
Weaknesses: performance needs active upkeep, plugin maintenance is a security task.
Loomup setup
- Custom block theme with a Tailwind workflow
- Caching at server and edge level
- Schema & SEO modules from the start
- Secure plugin stack with an update routine
Plain HTML / Static
For maximum performance and minimal maintenance. Ideal for marketing websites with infrequent editing or high performance requirements.
Strengths: lightning-fast load times, top security, minimal stack.
Weaknesses: editorial changes require technical knowledge or our hands-on help.
Loomup setup
- Static build system with our own pipeline
- Edge hosting (CDN-distributed)
- Content via Markdown / headless-CMS connection
- Automatic schema generation at build time
Webflow
For brands with high design standards and non-technical marketing teams. Visual editor, clean code export, good performance out of the box.
Strengths: design freedom without code, fast launch, no hosting headaches.
Weaknesses: higher platform lock-in costs, less plugin variety.
Loomup setup
- Component library following atomic design
- CMS collections for scalable content
- SEO & schema setup via custom code
- Performance budget as a design constraint
Headless (Next.js, Astro)
For complex applications with app-like interactivity, multilingual content, multi-brand setups or high scale. Top performance, higher upfront cost.
Strengths: performance at the highest level, full flexibility, A/B-testing-friendly.
Weaknesses: higher initial effort, developer dependency.
Loomup setup
- Next.js / Astro with server-side rendering
- Headless CMS (Sanity / Strapi / Contentful)
- ISR/SSG for performance & SEO
- Edge functions for dynamic requirements
Shopware & Shopify
For e-commerce projects that need full shop functionality. Shopware for DE/EU mid-market businesses with complex requirements, Shopify for fast launches and cross-border.
Strengths: full-stack shop functionality, payment integrations, scalability.
Weaknesses: out-of-the-box SEO is patchy and needs active tuning.
Loomup setup
- Filter-URL strategy against duplicate content
- Product schema on every product page
- Performance audit on shop-specific factors
- Cross-channel linking (feed, Maps, Search)
The three values Google explicitly uses as a ranking signal
We define a hard performance budget before every project. These are the values we consistently keep below the thresholds:
// Performance budget Loomup — thresholds per KPI { "LCP": "< 2.5s", // Largest Contentful Paint — when the main content is visible "INP": "< 200ms", // Interaction to Next Paint — how fast the page responds "CLS": "< 0.1", // Cumulative Layout Shift — how stable the layout stays "TTFB": "< 600ms", // Time to First Byte — server response "TBT": "< 200ms", // Total Blocking Time — response delay "Lighthouse": ">= 90" // Score from performance audits }
Measured on real devices (mid-range mobile), not in a lab test. Breaching a single threshold stops the launch.

We don't split website, SEO and GEO; we build them in parallel.
In classic agency setups there's a web-design workflow, then a separate SEO agency comes in and "improves" the result. That creates friction, duplicate costs and compromises nobody wanted.
We treat website and visibility as one discipline: URL structure, schema markup, fact density and performance budget are locked in at the wireframe stage. When the website goes live, it isn't "SEO-ready", it's already optimized.
View SEO services →Tech-stack-agnostic
WordPress, plain HTML, Webflow, headless, we choose by requirement, not by favourite tool.
Performance budget
We define a performance budget before the first pixel. Anything that can't hold it never gets built in.
Conversion-focused
Every page has one clear primary action. Success is measured, not claimed.
The key questions, answered briefly
What good is a new website without visibility?
Not much. A beautiful website nobody finds generates no enquiries. That's why we don't bolt visibility on afterwards but build it straight into the foundation: clean markup, performance, structure and conversion paths from day 1.
WordPress or a custom solution?
It depends on your requirements, maintenance effort and budget. WordPress offers flexibility and easy upkeep; custom or static solutions win on performance and security. What matters isn't the system but that the site is fast, visible and maintainable.
Common questions about web design & website builds
Which CMS do you recommend?
It depends on the project. For marketing-driven websites with editorial upkeep we usually recommend WordPress. For maximum performance and simple pages, plain HTML or Webflow. For complex shop setups, Shopware or Shopify with a headless front end. We choose based on your requirements, not on agency preference.
How long does a website build take?
A lean corporate website with 10–15 pages is live in 6–10 weeks. More complex projects with a multilingual setup, custom modules or shop integration take 3–6 months. The biggest time factor is usually content creation and approval cycles, both of which can be sped up if you want.
How much does a new website cost?
We deliberately don't publish flat-rate prices, effort and complexity vary too much (number of pages, multilingual content, shop integration, custom modules). After the visibility check you receive a tailored quote with every line item explained. So you know exactly what you're paying for before you decide.
Do you only do the design, or the development too?
Both, including strategy, content, SEO/GEO setup, tracking, performance and ongoing support. You have a single point of contact instead of a pipeline of design agency → developer → SEO agency → tracking consultant. That saves friction and handover costs.
Is the relaunch SEO-safe, will we lose rankings?
If the relaunch is set up cleanly, no. The essentials: 1:1 redirect mapping for every old URL, a crawl comparison before/after launch, performance monitoring for the first 8 weeks, careful resubmission of the sitemap. We have a fixed relaunch process for this, with a rollback plan in case something unexpected happens.
What sets Loomup apart from classic web-design agencies?
Three things. First, we treat visibility (SEO + GEO) and the website as one discipline, you don't pay twice for SEO rework. Second, we automate recurring maintenance (performance audits, schema upkeep, content-refresh cycles). Third, we're tech-stack-agnostic, we recommend the tool that fits you, not the one we most enjoy working with.
Does Loomup build websites SEO-ready?
Yes. Every Loomup website is SEO- and GEO-ready from the start: clean semantic markup, fast load times, mobile-first, structured data and clear conversion paths. That avoids the costly re-optimization that purely design-led websites need later.
What are Core Web Vitals and why do they matter?
Core Web Vitals are Google's metrics for user experience: load time (LCP), interactivity (INP) and visual stability (CLS). They're a ranking factor and influence bounce rate. Loomup optimizes websites to meet these values reliably.
What system does Loomup build websites with?
Depending on the requirement, with WordPress, static HTML or the system the client prefers. What matters isn't the technology but that the website is fast, visible, maintainable and built for conversions.
Can Loomup relaunch an existing website without losing rankings?
Yes. During a relaunch, Loomup safeguards rankings through clean URL mapping, 301 redirects and monitoring, before, during and after go-live. That preserves the visibility built up over years.
